Your journey begins at Sussi & Chuma Lodge in Zambia, where you’ll explore the Lower Zambezi National Park on game drives and boat safaris. Day 1, 2 & 3: Sussi & Chuma Lodge, Victoria Falls

Day 1

  • Arrive at Sussi & Chuma Lodge, where you’ll be greeted with a refreshing drink and shown to your luxurious lodge or chalet. Take time to settle in and explore the stunning property, with its elevated views over the Zambezi River. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and get familiar with the nearby walking paths or the lodge’s grounds.
  • A delicious lunch awaits you, offering local flavors and fresh ingredients.
  • Later, head out for your first safari activity in the Lower Zambezi National Park. Your expert guide will take you on a game drive, where you can expect to see herds of elephants, buffalo, and a variety of antelope, as well as birdlife. The drive provides the perfect opportunity to witness the dramatic landscapes of the park.
  • Return to the lodge for a relaxing dinner, followed by a nightcap under the African stars.

Day 2

  • Start your day with an early morning safari activity. Choose between a game drive or a boat safari on the Zambezi River, where you may encounter crocodiles, hippos, and abundant birdlife. If you opt for a boat safari, the cool morning air and the chance to explore the river’s calm, scenic waters will create a tranquil start to your day.
  • After the activity, return to the lodge for breakfast. You’ll have time to relax at the lodge, perhaps taking a dip in the pool or enjoying the views from your room.
  • If you're up for it, a short bush walk with a guide could provide more insight into the flora and fauna of the area, including spotting smaller wildlife and learning about the ecosystem.

Day 3

  • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, followed by your choice of activity.
  • You can either opt for a final morning game drive or boat safari to make the most of your last day, or enjoy a relaxing morning at the lodge. The staff will happily prepare a brunch-style meal if you prefer to take it easy before checking out.
  • Spend the final hours of your stay soaking up the atmosphere of the Zambezi River, the surrounding wildlife, and the peace of the lodge.
  • When it's time to depart, you'll be transferred back to the airstrip for your onward journey, hopefully with unforgettable memories of your safari adventure at Sussi & Chuma Lodge.

Day 4 & 5: Chobe Chilwero Lodge, Kasane

Day 4

  • After your time at Sussi & Chuma, you'll be transferred to Chobe Chilwero Lodge, which is located in Botswana’s Chobe National Park, famous for its large elephant herds.
  • On arrival, you’ll be greeted by the lodge's team and escorted to your spacious, luxurious suite with panoramic views of the Chobe River and the surrounding wilderness.
  • Take a moment to settle in and then enjoy a refreshing lunch overlooking the river.
  • Once you're recharged, you'll set off on your first safari adventure in Chobe National Park. Chobe is renowned for its elephant population, so you’ll likely see large herds up close as they wander along the riverbanks. Alongside the elephants, the park offers opportunities to spot lions, buffalo, giraffe, and plenty of birdlife.
  • As the day draws to a close, return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner, perhaps al fresco, while watching the sun set over the river.

Day 5 

  • Wake up early for a boat safari on the Chobe River.   • Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and shown to your room, where you can take in the stunning views of the surrounding bush and the peaceful waters of the Okavango Delta.
  • After settling in, enjoy a leisurely lunch at the lodge, which highlights fresh, local ingredients.
  • Then, you’ll have some free time to relax—whether that means lounging by the pool, reading a book on your private deck, or just soaking up the beauty of your surroundings.
